26 Habits I Practise To Stop Negativity

.

Out of these 26 habits, you can use any habit to eliminate negativity depending on the impact it is creating in your life.

.

Without any further ado let’s roll the habits.

1.  Figure out who in your life is Negative:

Many a time we are surrounded by so much of negativity around us and yet we find it difficult to identify the negative people.

.

2.  Distance yourself:

Once you identify these people distance yourself from them and try to add resistance between you and such people.

.

3. If they are family, you can simply reduce the time you spend around them:

Sometimes the enemy is at our home and yet we tend to search the enemy outside of our home. If you figured out that it is your family member/s that is influencing you negatively then you can reduce the time you spend around them.

.

4. Don’t feel guilty about cutting negative people from your life:

I used to feel bad to cut out people but later I realized that I am drowning myself in the pool of negativity which is bad.  Thus, to save yourself you need to delete some people without feeling guilty.

.

5. Don’t argue with negative people, or get drawn into their drama:

Negative people if you have noticed are the best to create drama and they are more likely to drag you into the stupidity which they create. Therefore, stay away from them and enjoy your life.

.

6. What if you are negative?

When we blame others for the negativity around us we seldom look at ourselves. Many a time we are negative for ourselves and we rarely notice that because everyone’s a positive person in their mind.

In a prodigious picture, to change the outer world we must first change the inner world because we cannot change the fruits without changing the roots.

So, do some self-evaluation become aware of yourself, identify your positive and negative traits and try to eliminate them by adding resistance.

.

7. Like attracts like:

When you start eliminating your negative traits you will observe that you are attracting similar people in your life. When I started this blog and my Instagram page I didn’t know that I will attract people who are having similar interests.

I’ve met amazing people like Ekaterina(who was the first guest on the podcast) and many other people.

.

8. Take up a new hobby:

Start with something you have never done before and get consistent at it.

.

9.WTOH( What’s The Opportunity Here?):

Reprogram your mind to find positivity in a negative situation. So, whenever you come across any negative situation ask yourself what’s the opportunity here and give your best to find positivity in that situation.

.

10. Adopt an affirmation habit:

The antidote to destructive thinking and uttering is constructive thinking and uttering. So, develop and adopt an affirmation habit in which you say and think the opposite of the negative thing that is happening to you or which you think will happen.

.

11. Recognize when you are falling into negative thinking patterns:

This is one of the best things which you could do and for that, you need to be aware of your thoughts. So, the question you can ask to yourself is Am I thinking constructively or it is destructive.

.

12. Get a gratitude journal and write at least three things that you are grateful for every morning:

This is to remind yourself of what is good in your life. So that whenever you feel bad or sad you can take your journal and look at the things that you are blessed with. Also, gratitude will bring more of what you already have. Gratitude is magic.

.

13. Stop complaining:

The more you complain the more you stop good things coming to you. Complaining is a negative habit and those who complain the most accomplish the least because complaining never makes anything better.

.

14. Don’t gossip or listen to anyone gossiping:

This is the world’s best time waster so better stay away from gossiping.

.

15. Stop watching the news:

News is a pure form of negativity which media throws at you that negatively occupies your brain space. So, stop watching the news especially in the morning and night when your brain is more fragile.

.

16. Set goals:

Have something to aim and focus on. Let your mind focus on something which will be fruitful If you achieve it instead of being busy with constant negativity around.

.

17. Stop Multitasking:

Focus on one thing at a time. Give your energy to one thing to bring the most and best out of it.

.

18. Don’t think about the past:

Your past is just history and you are on your path to improve yourself. So, better enjoy the present and do the work.

.

19. Get more done:

Push yourself and demand more from yourself. Demanding more from yourselves and getting out of the comfort will reveal your true potential the comfort zone will always hide it.

.

20. Rest:

It is truly important to rest enough and have that leisure time. Rest should never be treated as an option it should be your priority if you are always productive or busy with your work.

.

21. Eat Healthy and Exercise:

A healthy body requires a healthy mind and vice versa. So, to fuel your body in an optimal way you need to fuel it properly by eating healthy food and to function it properly you need to exercise.

.

22. Reduce your social media time:

I am personally working on this habit and I have done it in the past. I am going to reduce my social media time because it has so many benefits which you can read here one of which is the comparison and constant scrolling (time wasters) and both are negative in their way.

.

23. Live your life, not theirs:

Live your life according to your rules, not theirs, they won’t pay your bills. They don’t feed you, so why to worry about them and why to live in a fear of getting judged. Duck them.

.

24. Make a to-do-list:

Make a to-do list because it helps to gain focus and making things happen by working on them. Also, it will help you to stay organized.

.

25. The minimalistic approach towards life:

Clear out unwanted things, cut things out of your life. Many a time,  less brings more. Instead of focusing on many things, when you focus on a few things you tend to put more focus on them and ultimately produce or gain more.  Thus, less is more.

.

26. Say “NO” more often:

Do not worry to say “NO” because people would feel bad. Say No because it’s only by saying no that you can concentrate on the important things. Thus, setting boundaries is a healthy and positive approach to keep the negativity out of your bubble.

.

Although, many a time it is just overthinking that is causing the pain.
