The Power Of Your Choices:

Choices: From your birth, till now everything you saw or witnessed till now is the result of your choices. Power of your choices is incredible. If one denies the fact that you don’t get what you repeatedly choose to do then this article is for you. The power of your choices is far more valuable than you think it is. Now, Let’s see how choices shape our lives.

To explain in brief:

We all come into this world the same: naked, scared, and ignorant. After that grand entrance, the life we end up with is simply an accumulation of all the choices we make.

.

Our choices can be our best friend or our worst enemy. They can deliver us to our goals or far away from our goal.

.

Think about it. Everything in your life exists because you first chose something. Choices are at the root of every one of your results. Each choice starts a behaviour that over time becomes a habit.

.

In essence, you make your choices and then your choices make you.

.

Every decision no matter how slight alters the trajectory of your life- whether or not to go to college, who to marry, to have that last drink before you drive, to indulge in gossip or to stay silent, to play PUBG or to do something gainful instead of it, to watch TV eat popcorn and enjoy the series or to workout, to eat your greens or to eat sugar

.

we all are filled with choices.

.

Each small choice you make today will compound every time you ignore It and that small choice which you made today will be so huge in the future that you will blame the choice which you first made in the past.

.

To keep it very short: I’ll give you an example:

 1 Cadbury that you ate yesterday after your lunch become so alluring that you choose to eat it today right after your lunch and then it grows your instant gratification of taste. You keep on repeating this behaviour until it becomes a habit and then that leads to a gain in weight by 10 kgs after a year.

.

Now let’s see how small and temporary bad choices impact your future self tremendously.

.

How your:  I am doing this just for today small excuses will impact you tremendously in the future.  

.

To know this better. I’d ask you have you ever been bitten by an elephant?

.

Now how about a mosquito?

.

Yes! Mosquito bites us elephant doesn’t.

.

Similarly, It’s the little things in life that will bite you.  Hardly we see big mistakes threaten to destroy a career or reputation in an instant because most of the time they are our small mistakes that take our career or reputation to the line of danger.

.

It’s the frequent, and mosquito size choices that impact us profoundly.

.

For example:

2 Years back I was trying to lose the love handles, I was doing everything right but in 2019 a year later I realized that I wasn’t doing everything right. I was eating a pack of chocolate biscuits every single time I came from the gym that added up the extra calories. I did everything right from the morning until I came from the gym. I used to eat healthily, eat my greens, eat my proteins, but the pack of chocolate biscuits that seemed to be very insignificant at that time was the real culprit behind me not able to lose the love handles.

.

It’s these small unconscious choices that impact your life more than you can imagine.  I blew out an entire day of healthy eating and exercising with this one small pack of biscuits.

.

You’ve allowed yourself to choose without thinking. And as long as you’re making choices unconsciously, you can’t consciously choose to change that so-called small and ineffective behaviour that impacts you massively. It’s time to WAKE UP and make empowering choices.

Now,  the question is how to make conscious choices?

.

I don’t know how many of you have opted for a personal diet coach before, but when you enrol most of them will ask you to track your diet.

.

They will tell you to track every single thing you put into your mouth.

.

Why?  Because they want you to be conscious of your choices. This tracking habit will make you more aware and conscious of what you eat, how frequently you eat and thereby making you health-conscious and helping you to cut down those hidden calories.

.

Similarly to help you become more aware of your choices, I want you to track every action that relates to the area of your life that you want to improve.

.

Suppose you want to save more money then track every single penny you pull from your pocket.

.

If you’ve decided you want to lose weight then track every food you put into your mouth.

.

If you’ve decided you want to run a marathon then track every step or mile you run and then try to get better next time.

.

Carry a diary or track these things in an app. There are many applications out there to track almost everything.

.

Tracking will help you to become aware of your choices and make you better unconsciously.

.

Now, when you track you will figure out that you are progressing in some areas but you are also misstepping in some areas.

.

And eventually, this progressing and misstepping will make you more aware of your choices that will ultimately result in your wins.

I love this quote from Jim Rohn who said” What’s simple to do is also simple not to do.

.

Now, this may sound a very simple and little boring thing but nothing positive comes without discipline and consistency.

.

The magic is not in the complexity of the task, the magic is in the doing of simple things repeatedly and long enough.

.

The distance between you and your goal is your choices and habits.

.

And the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is that successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are not.

So the conclusion for this article is to choose wisely, track purposely, and succeed happily.

.

You now know how small daily insignificant and invaluable choices can lead you to a valley of death.

.

.So please please please choose wisely and make your life more meaningful.
